What she sent, what I did!

A customer sent me the photo on the left for inspiration for her custom coat. This was great to work from...it let me know what she wanted, without too many specifics. It was great to look for the fabrics and once I found them I sent her this collage (right) of the fabrics I would use.
She thought they looked great... so I went to work. The final result is below. What did she think? According to her: "It's simply, absolutely, positively, beeeeaaaaauuuutttiiiifffuuuulllll! When I put it on, my whole being sang.... thanks so much." Thank you, too it was a great project!

Beautiful...are your sweaters fulled?

YOu have to teach us all how you manage to come up with such fantastic colour combinations. Right so you had the inspiration but actually making it work together takes talent. Prosit!

I have to admit that I do know color and color theory. I have both degrees and experience in Art and Design. But some of it is truly from the heart.

You have a great suggestion though, and I will try to figureour some blog posts regarding color... Thanks, Jill

No Jill...I said are they Fulled..as in felted in hot water. I read my comment again to make sure I spelled it correctly and I did. Sorry for any confusion ;-)

LOL - sorry that is a term I am not familiar with! I do not felt any of my sweaters (well maybe once by accident!) because they are not all wool. I have been surprised at the number of people who DON'T want wool. Finding colors would also be much harder if I were limited to wools!

Anyway thanks for teaching me a new term today!
